Wil Wheaton

What really inspired me to start a webpage again was reading through Wil Wheaton’s experience with various social media platforms that ultimately convinced him to leave Twitter.

But I don’t deserve to be treated so terribly by so many random people, so I’m not going to put myself in a place where I am subjected to it all day long. As the saying goes, I’m too old for this shit. What we used to call microblogging isn’t worth the headache for me. I’m gonna focus my time and my energy on the things that I love, that make me happy, that support my family.

So I’m going to give the webpage/blog/whatever thing a try. Again. Because I think it’s okay to share ideas and funny links and things. And sometimes I feel like maybe I might have something to say. It’s just easier to share ideas if every post isn’t reduced to an invitation to make a referendum on the author’s intrinsic value as a human being.
